Do Your Due Diligence – More 3Si Jason Feimster BS

Please, folks, do your Due Diligence!!! If you don’t know what I’m talking about.. it means you haven’t read any Mr. Cranky posts this year. Let me just say that I am mildly suspicious of Jason Feimster’s bona fides as a Venture Capitalist. I am slightly skeptical regarding the legitimacy of calling 3Si a Venture Capital firm and not a raging burning pile of hippo poo. Recently when it comes to scumbag scam artists I was reminded that I can write enough posts exposing the same crooks. I must repeat myself constantly to expose the frauds and cheats that inhabit the startup world. For instance, after umpteen posts about Matthew Pugesly, pretend founder of pretend company Chalant Health some dope still invested, With all the work I do the world is still able to find gullible morons willing to invest in the only company in DC that might be worse than Danny Boice’s Trustify.

It’s disheartening that even when I do your due diligence for you, some people won’t go to the old google machine and find it.

So I was pleasantly surprised to find someone that at the very least, knows how to use google and found my posts on Feimster and 3Si.

I recently received this email:

From: someone

Message Body:
I actually just received a service agreement and NDA agreement from 3si and Jason’s Feimster. The only reason why I am concerning this is because I talk to Two of his companies that I found via Facebook messaging and they received their funds and like working with them. But there are a lot of red flags.

So I replied:

Someone,

Real VCs don’t sign NDAs and don’t work off of “service agreements,” they use term sheets.

I’d vet the people you talked to, check their companies in crunchbase and angellist.

I bet their just associates of Jason… all working together. My bother has a company, if I asked him to, he’d say great things about me. But I’d also have to pay him a cut of the profits.

I can’t help you any more than what you find in my blog posts or just to tell you to do your due diligence.

Best of luck.

Glen

Then Someone with a capital s did a little Due Diligence and came back with this reply:

Glen

I don’t think I’m going to go through with it. I looked up the person who sent me the documents on LinkedIn and he is an intern at 3si and Jason invested in his company. The issue is that he is in community college and he is an unpaid intern (I looked up the job posting from 3si). This is very fishy and unclear. Due to the lack of transparency, it’s better not to. I really appreciate your blog post, you probably saved me from a whole lot of trouble.

Thanks again,
Someone

Then I went and did a little additional due diligence and found there’s a new Venture Capitalist at Jason Feimster’s, 3Si and I shit you not… this is true. Meet Wayne Walker the newest Venture Capital Partner at 3Si!

America! What a country… just 3 years ago in 2015, VC Wayne Walker was slapping ham and cheese between 2 slices of bread at the Potbelly restaurant in Vienna Virginia. From master of the hoagie to master of the universe in 3 short years. Last year… he was cutting lawns.  Now he’s cutting Venture Capital deals and is the Venture Funded CEO of Cognitive Nutraceuticals which is another word for Flavored-Water-That-Probably-Won’t-Kill-You and a Venture Partner at the prestigious firm of 3Si, (3Si’s motto is no one is too stupid for us to fund you. Give us $15 Grand and will invest $5K in your company (that’s not really thier motto… it’s thier business model)). America is truly the land of opportunity.

Here is this impressive upwardly mobile young man’s experience as outlined on his LinkedIn:

I’ll give to this kid, he’s currently holding down 3 jobs! Co-Founder of Cognitive Nutraceuticals, W&L Landscaping, and 3Si!

I feel sorry for Wayne. He seems to be the typical mark for a conman. This kid is likely an earnest young man who aspires to be a startup superstar and Jason Feimster prayed on those hopes and dreams to take advantage of him and his inexperience. Now he’s about to ruin his reputation. Wayne… buddy… use google. Do Due Diligence. Protect your reputation. If 3 months from now you are still working at 3Si, that means one of two things… you’re either too stupid to figure out you are working for and aiding a conman.. or you’re a conman. If you leave now… I’ll give you a mulligan.  Read these Wayne buddy:
